Job summary

Probe UK Limited is seeking a proactive Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join the established engineering team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The role is predominantly mechanical with a strong emphasis on hydraulic systems and maintaining plant equipment.

You will work on a rotating three-shift pattern, carrying out PPM and breakdown repairs, while contributing to continuous improvement to maximise equipment reliability and production efficiency.

Qualifications

• Apprentice-trained or qualified in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Experience in mechanical maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.
• Good working knowledge of hydraulic systems and components.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), inspections and servicing of manufacturing machinery and plant equipment.
• Respond to machinery breakdowns, diagnose faults and undertake repairs to minimise downtime.
• Fault-find, maintain and repair hydraulic systems and associated components.
• Identify recurring mechanical faults and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
