Job summary

Pertemps Crawley Perms is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Engineer to support production, packaging and control equipment on a site in Crawley. The role requires carrying out planned maintenance, quick breakdown repairs, and upholding strict BRC food safety standards in a hygienic, safe environment.

The role includes a minimum 42-hour week with a rotational weekend schedule during peak summer (May to August), and a salary of £45,000–£50,000 depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining production equipment in a food manufacturing setting.
• Knowledge of PPM, breakdown repairs, and HACCP safety.
• Strong communication in English for safety and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance on packaging and control equipment.
• Respond to breakdowns promptly and perform repairs.
• Maintain health, safety, and hygiene standards on site.
• Complete CCP sheets, checklists, and handovers.
