Job summary

Ruth Wagstaff Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Maintenance Engineer for our Clevedon-based client in North Somerset. The role offers a salary of £52,000–£53,700, Monday to Friday with an occasional weekend work and time off in the week.

You will perform planned maintenance, review parts used, implement improvements, monitor plant performance, and support production and continuous improvement projects across a range of valves and pumps in a food/manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Formal Engineering Qualification – C&G Level 3, NVQ Level 3, Apprenticeship trained.
• Continuous improvement knowledge.
• Strong knowledge of good engineering standards.
• Experience in food, packaging, drink, manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

• Planned Maintenance inspections, review parts used.
• Recommend improvements in line with projects and maintenance schedules, carry out safety checks on range of equipment.
• Monitor plant conditions, report defects, repair of machinery.
• Generate and maintain compliance to SOPs, risk assessments.
• Report on plant performance using systems, ensure action on non-conformance issues.
• Working on a range of valves & Pumps.
• Supporting production & continuous improvement projects.
