Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment Limited is assisting a major Inverness site in hiring a Maintenance Engineer (Electrical / Mechanical). You will perform planned and reactive maintenance on belts, conveyors, pumps, motors, gearboxes and hydraulics with ongoing training provided.

The role operates on a shift pattern, averaging 42 hours per week, with 7am–7pm and 7pm–7am shifts on a rotating schedule; you will work 7 days in every 14, including weekends.

Qualifications

• Maintenance Engineer with mechanical and electrical experience.
• Experience with belts, conveyors, pumps, motors, gearboxes and hydraulics.
• Willingness to work a shift-based pattern and adapt to rotating cycles.

Responsibilities

• Planned and preventative maintenance on equipment and machinery.
• Work on hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, gearboxes, conveyors and motors.
• On-the-job training through shadowing experienced engineers.

Are you a Maintenance Engineer with mechanical and electrical experience, looking to join an engineering powerhouse, within a varied and unique role working on a wide variety of state‑of‑the‑art equipment and machinery?

Are you looking for the flexibility that shift work brings, working only half the year whilst being rewarded with an excellent overall package?

In this role you will be performing planned and reactive maintenance within a busy materials processing site, on belts, conveyors, pumps, motors, gearboxes, and hydraulics for example, with ongoing training given.
