Job summary

Zachary Daniels in the United Kingdom (Edinburgh outskirts) is seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing site. The role involves hands-on repairs, planned maintenance and KPI-driven improvements.

You will work on a 4 on / 4 off night and day rota, with PLC and automation exposure preferred. The company offers career progression, private healthcare and a competitive salary around £50,000 plus bonus.

Qualifications

• Completion of a recognised apprenticeship in electrical or mechanical discipline.
• Electrical biased role; experience with PLCs and automation desirable.
• Experience of maintenance engineering gained in the manufacturing sector.
• Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics would be desirable.

Responsibilities

• Carry out repairs, maintenance work and routine testing to all plant machinery and equipment
• Completing planned maintenance work orders
• Ensuring all auditable paper work is completed and filed correctly
• Demonstrate a proactive approach to maintenance and assist in the development of preventative maintenance mechanisms
• Understand and support KPI improvements
