Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking an experienced facilities maintenance technician to join our team in Glasgow. You will undertake PPM, proactive and reactive works, carry out plumbing duties, and provide a technical engineering service with minimal supervision for mechanical servicing, repairs and installation.

The role requires a craft qualification in electrical installation, the 18th edition wiring regulations, and a valid CSCS card, plus a full UK driving license.

Qualifications

• Craft qualification in electrical installation and related training.
• Current wiring regs qualification (18th Edition) required.
• Valid Grade Card/CSCS Card and driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Undertake PPM, proactive and reactive works through helpdesk within set times.
• Carry out plumbing duties on sites as required.
• Provide technical engineering service for mechanical servicing, repairs and installation.
• Service and maintain other assets/trades as competent.
• Evaluate performance and ensure proper servicing of equipment under contract.
• General building repairs and support to in-house trades.
• Support project refurbishment works and site engineers on maintenance tasks.
• Work safely, comply with Health & Safety and QSHE policy.

Job description

About The Role:

Days of Working: Monday to Friday - 08:00 to 16:30

Key Responsibilities:

• To undertake PPM, proactive and reactive works issued through the helpdesk within set time frames so that the customer expectations are met.
• To carry out plumbing duties on sites as and when required.
• To provide a technical engineering service with the minimum of supervision to the OCS client in respect of mechanical servicing, repairs, maintenance and installation.
• To undertake the service and maintenance of other assets/trades that were deemed competent to do so.
• To evaluate performance and ensure the proper servicing and maintenance of equipment under contract to the company is carried out.
• To have basic knowledge of multi-disciplined trades
• General building repairs
• Provide support to other in-house trades or complete other trade tasks, where deemed competent including minor plumbing repairs, tilling, painting and decorating and wet trades.
• Support the project team's refurbishment works
• Support site engineer in undertaking maintenance works including legionella checks and building fabric maintenance.
• Working in a safe manner at all times, complying with current Health & Safety legislation and OCS QSHE policy.

Key Hiring Criteria:

• Applicant must have the right to work in the UK
• Previous experience working within Facilities Management.
• Ability to use electronic handheld devices.
• Full clean driving licence.

Essential Qualifications:

• A craft qualification such as a recognised electrical apprenticeship such as or equivalent to City & Guilds 2350 NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation Engineering + AM2
• The current wiring regulations qualification such as or equal to City & Guilds 2381-18 Level 3 Award (18 th Edition)
• Valid and in date Grade card/CSCS Card or equivalent qualification.

Desirable Qualifications:

• An Inspection & Testing qualification such as or equal to City & Guilds 2391-52 Level 3 Award in Initial and Periodic Inspection and Testing of Electrical Installations
