Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician to deliver planned and reactive maintenance across client sites. You will perform electrical installations, servicing and minor plumbing tasks within a facilities management environment.

The role requires a craft electrical qualification, 18th edition, and a CSCS card. You will work 37.5 hours weekly on a rotating shift, with a focus on safety and compliance within our operations.

Qualifications

  • Craft qualification in electrical installation (City & Guilds/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
  • Current wiring regulations qualification (18th edition).
  • CSCS card or equivalent qualification (valid).

Responsibilities

  • Carry out PPM, proactive and reactive works within set time frames.
  • Perform plumbing duties on sites when required.
  • Provide technical electrical engineering services with minimal supervision.
  • Maintain and service assets and trades under contract.
  • Evaluate performance and ensure proper servicing of equipment.
  • Have basic knowledge of multi-disciplined trades.
  • Conduct general building repairs and minor plumbing tasks.
  • Support refurbishment works and project teams.
  • Assist site engineer with maintenance tasks including legionella checks.

About The Role
Key Responsibilities
  • To undertake PPM, proactive and reactive works issued through the helpdesk within set time frames so that the customer expectations are met.
  • To carry out plumbing duties on sites as and when required.
  • To provide a technical engineering service with the minimum of supervision to the OCS client in respect of mechanical servicing, repairs, maintenance and installation.
  • To undertake the service and maintenance of other assets/trades that were deemed competent to do so.
  • To evaluate performance and ensure the proper servicing and maintenance of equipment under contract to the company is carried out.
  • To have basic knowledge of multi-disciplined trades
  • General building repairs
  • Provide support to other in-house trades or complete other trade tasks, where deemed competent including minor plumbing repairs, tilling, painting and decorating and wet trades.
  • Support the project team's refurbishment works
  • Support site engineer in undertaking maintenance works including legionella checks and building fabric maintenance.
  • Working in a safe manner at all times, complying with current Health & Safety legislation and OCS QSHE policy.
Key Hiring Criteria
  • Applicant must have the right to work in the UK
  • Previous experience working within Facilities Management.
  • Ability to use electronic handheld devices.
  • Full clean driving licence.
Essential Qualifications
  • A craft qualification such as a recognised electrical apprenticeship such as or equivalent to City & Guilds 2350 NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation Engineering + AM2
  • The current wiring regulations qualification such as or equal to City & Guilds 2381-18 Level 3 Award (18thEdition)
  • Valid and in date Grade card/CSCS Card or equivalent qualification.
Desirable Qualifications
  • An Inspection & Testing qualification such as or equal to City & Guilds 2391-52 Level 3 Award in Initial and Periodic Inspection and Testing of Electrical Installations
Working pattern

37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, working on a rotating shift pattern between 7:00am and 7:00pm:

  • 7:00am–3:30pm
  • 8:00am–4:30pm
  • 10:30am–7:00pm
