Job summary

Future Recruitment is seeking an Electrical Bias Engineer for a West Yorkshire manufacturing site. The role covers preventative and reactive maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems, with on-call duties shared among three engineers.

Monday to Friday, standard daytime hours, with a focus on reducing downtime and keeping production running. You will diagnose faults, repair electrical issues, and support installation and improvement projects, ensuring safety and compliance across all

Qualifications

• Carry out preventative and reactive maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems.
• Troubleshoot faults, diagnose electrical issues, and implement repairs to reduce downtime.
• Support production teams to ensure continuous operation of machinery.
• Maintain records and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
• Relevant qualifications in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Carry out preventative maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems to minimise downtime.
• Diagnose faults and implement repairs to restore machinery quickly.
• Collaborate with production teams to keep lines running smoothly.
• Assist in installation and commissioning of new equipment and improvements.
• Keep accurate maintenance records and comply with safety standards.
• On-call support across a shift rota split between three engineers.

ELECTRICAL BIAS ENGINEER

£OPEN (Depending On Experience) + Fleet Vehicle + £75 call out rate + Retainer for being on call

HOURS OF WORK: MONDAY - FRIDAY 8am - 5pm

Role / Responsibilities:

• Carry out preventative and reactive maintenance on all electrical and mechanical systems and machinery
• Troubleshoot faults, diagnose electrical issues, and implement effective repairs to reduce downtime
• Work closely with production teams to ensure continuous operation of machinery
• Assist in the installation, commissioning, and improvement of new and existing equipment
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and ensure compliance with health and safety standards
• Proven experience as an Electrical Engineer within a manufacturing environment
• Strong understanding of PLCs, drives, control systems, and fault finding
• Good mechanical awareness to support multi-skilled responsibilities
• Relevant qualifications in Electrical Engineering (e.g. NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent)
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a hands-on, can-do approach
• Willingness to take part in on-call support as required (spilt between 3 Engineers)
