You will work 40 hours per week on a permanent basis, with some weekend cover as required. The role offers an engaging, varied engineering position with opportunities to improve equipment reliability and site safety.

Qualifications

• Qualified mechanically biased engineer with hands-on experience in food manufacturing.
• Experience with planned preventative maintenance (PPM) systems.
• Practical knowledge of compressed air and steam boiler maintenance.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.
• Proactive approach to maintenance, with a focus on minimising downtime.
• Good understanding of health and safety and food safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planned preventative maintenance across the site.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical breakdowns and identify electrical faults requiring attention.
• Maintain site equipment, including compressed air and steam boiler systems.
• Support the selection, installation and commissioning of new machinery.

Maintenance Engineer - Driffield, East Yorkshire

We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join a food manufacturing business, responsible for maintaining and repairing site equipment to ensure safe, efficient and reliable production.

This is a hands-on role suited to a qualified Mechanically biased Engineer with practical engineering experience within food manufacturing, a strong understanding of preventative maintenance and the ability to respond effectively to equipment breakdowns.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across the site.


• Diagnose and repair mechanical breakdowns and identify electrical faults requiring attention.


• Maintain site equipment, including compressed air and steam boiler systems.
