Ambitions Personnel is recruiting a Maintenance Engineer for a well-established food manufacturing site in Bottesford. The role combines fault finding, planned maintenance and involvement in improvement projects to drive equipment reliability.

You will work in a modern production environment, support new installations and collaborate with production teams. Salary up to £44,027 and a range of company benefits accompany the role.

Shift pattern: Monday to Friday with alternating weekly shifts.

Qualifications

• Electrical or multi-skilled engineering background, apprenticeship trained.
• Experience in manufacturing or production environment.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience carrying out planned preventative maintenance.
• Proactive improvements mindset.
• Good communication and teamwork.
• Understanding of health and safety requirements.
• Ability to work independently and manage workloads.

Responsibilities

• Respond to machinery breakdowns, diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs.
• Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to improve equipment reliability.
• Identify recurring faults and use root cause analysis to prevent future issues.
• Support continuous improvement projects and identify opportunities to improve processes.
• Get involved in new machinery installations and engineering investment projects.
• Work closely with production teams and fellow engineers to ensure effective communication.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and update the site maintenance system.
• Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety, quality and hygiene standards.

We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established and highly respected food manufacturing business based in Bottesford.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a business with a modern manufacturing environment, where engineering plays a key role in supporting production and driving improvements.

Importantly, this isn't a role where you'll spend all your time reacting to breakdowns. Alongside fault finding and planned maintenance, you'll have the opportunity to get involved in improvement projects, machinery upgrades and the installation of new equipment.

The Role

Working as part of an established engineering team, you'll be responsible for maintaining production equipment, reducing downtime and improving overall machinery reliability.

Your duties will include:

• Responding to machinery breakdowns, diagnosing faults and carrying out effective repairs.
• Completing planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to improve equipment reliability.
• Identifying recurring faults and using root cause analysis to prevent future issues.
• Supporting continuous improvement projects and identifying opportunities to improve processes.

• Previous experience within a manufacturing or production environment.
