Job role: Maintenance Engineer

Salary: GBP 40,000 - GBP 45,000 + (Apply online only)

Location: Corby, Northamptonshire

Hours: Monday to Friday, 06:00-14:00 / 14:00-22:00

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent

The Company:

Interaction has partnered with a well-established industry leader in injection moulding products. Due to continuous growth, our client is now looking to add a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to their busy engineering team.

The Role:

• Minimise production downtime by carrying out routine scheduled maintenance (PPMs) and responding to unplanned breakdowns within stipulated timeframes.
• Ensure production operations maximise output and minimise downtime safely through regular planned maintenance.
• Respond to unplanned breakdowns in a timely and effective manner, working alongside engineering and production colleagues to minimise disruption.
• Optimize the performance and lifecycle of operational equipment through regular preventative maintenance, working with the Production team to identify causes of equipment wear and underperformance.
• Diagnose and repair equipment breakdowns.
• Carry out all work according to Safe Systems of Work, Risk Assessments, SOPs, Dynamic Risk Assessments, and company policies and procedures.

The Requirements:

• In-depth understanding of fault finding/diagnostics on manufacturing machinery.
• Electrical & Mechanical Competencies.
• Relevant Electrical/Mechanical Qualifications (City & Guilds/NVQs) - Advantageous.
• Electrical bias - Advantageous.
• Experience of working in a fast-paced production environment for a minimum of 2 years - Essential.
