Job summary

Hunter Selection Ltd in Poole, England, is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join the engineering team. The role focuses on responding to machine breakdowns, carrying out preventative maintenance, and supporting continuous improvement to minimise downtime.

You will work Monday to Friday with overtime and occasional weekend work. The position offers a salary of GBP50,000–GBP52,000 per year plus a 20% pension, 32 days holiday, and a range of benefits.

Qualifications

• Continuous improvement knowledge.
• Strong knowledge of good engineering standards.
• Experience in engineering, manufacturing or production environments.

Responsibilities

• Respond to machine breakdowns with a view to minimising downtime and improving long term machine reliability.
• Execution of the Lead/Senior Maintenance Engineer’s plan to work preventative in addition to reactively.
• Use of appropriate root cause analysis tools & 5S.
• Actively support a culture of Continuous Improvement, looking at ways to engineer out persistent problems.
• Carry out routine Planned Preventative Maintenance.
• Accurately record all maintenance tasks performed on an electronic reporting system.
