Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment is helping a Dumbarton-based family-run business recruit a Maintenance Engineer to join an experienced team maintaining heavy industrial machinery. The role covers planned and reactive maintenance on conveyors, gearboxes, motors, hydraulics, and pneumatics, with a 4-day week (4 x 10-hour shifts: 11:00am–9:00pm) and overtime opportunities.

Training and career development are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience on heavy industrial machinery, conveyors, gearboxes, motors, hydraulics, or pneumatics.
• Apprenticeship-trained or equivalent engineering background.
• Commutable to Dumbarton.

Responsibilities

• Planned and reactive maintenance on heavy industrial production machinery.
• Work on conveyors, gearboxes, motors, hydraulics, pneumatics and mechanical drive systems.
• Troubleshoot engineering issues and support production to minimise downtime.
• Work from mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic drawings.
