Job summary

Elevation Recruitment Group are recruiting for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrical bias) to join a manufacturing client in York. The role is based in York with a Pitman shift pattern (12 hour days and nights) and a salary of £52,000 per year.

Key duties include running day-to-day boiler and gas turbine operations, monitoring water treatment and plant conditions, and performing planned and reactive electrical maintenance in a safe manner. Overtime and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship or Level 3 qualification in Electrical engineering.
• Strong understanding of electrical installation and schematics.
• Experience with electrical and instrumentation fault finding and repairs.

Responsibilities

• Run day-to-day operations of boilers and gas turbines.
• Monitor boiler and water treatment plant and adjust settings as needed.
• Monitor burning of process gas and adjust fuel combinations.
• Coordinate with Engineering and Production on breakdowns and maintenance.
• Conduct planned, predictive and reactive electrical maintenance of plant.

Elevation Recruitment Group are recruiting for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrical bias) to join one of our Manufacturing clients in York.

Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrical bias)

Location: York

Hours: Pitman Shift Pattern - Rotational cycle working both Days and Nights (12 hour shifts)

Salary: £52,000

Key Responsibilities:

• Run the day-to-day operations of Boilers and Gas Turbines
• Monitoring boiler and water treatment plant and adjusting settings as conditions require
• Monitoring running conditions of the burning of process gas and adjusting fuel combinations
• Liaison with Engineering and Production departments regarding breakdowns and routine maintenance
• Effectively carry out planned, predictive and reactive electrical maintenance of the plant
• Ensure that all equipment is maintained correctively and in a timely manner
• Carry out fault diagnosis
• Electrical installation and commissioning of new and repaired machinery and equipment
• Carry out all work safely, in accordance with site safety procedures

What We’re Looking For:

• Engineering apprenticeship or Level 3 qualification in Electrical engineering
• Good understanding of electrical installation/schematics and requirements
• Electrical and instrumentation diagnosing/fault finding
• Carrying out electrical and instrumentation repairs/replacement
