Job summary

Collins Aerospace, an RTX company, is looking for a Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer in Wolverhampton to support production continuity. You will manage TPM records, contribute to continuous improvement, and work on complex industrial equipment with a requirement for night shifts.

The role involves fault finding on CNCs, welding equipment, motors and PLCs, plus maintaining safety and TPM standards within a dynamic aerospace environment.

Qualifications

  • Apprentice-trained with City & Guilds or equivalent
  • Strong organization and troubleshooting abilities
  • Good stakeholder communication skills
  • Be able to read schematic drawings
  • IPAF and FLT licenses are beneficial but not essential

Responsibilities

  • Ensure health and safety and environmental policy adherence
  • Real-time problem resolution and troubleshooting without management direction
  • Maintain TPM records and drive process improvements
  • Work within the CMMS to manage work orders and report progress
  • Fault find on CNCs, welding equipment, motors, and PLCs; support control circuits
  • Maintain clean, organized, and professional working practices using the CORE system

What You Will Do

The role of the Multi skilled Maintenance Engineer will be to support production continuity by carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance tasks. Work will be allocated through the Agility CMMS (computerized maintenance management system) and associated mobile application by the Site Facilities Manager. The successful candidate should have a strong sense of ownership for their work and take pride in what they do. The applicant must possess the necessary enthusiasm, drive and desire to succeed and discipline to achieve significant results for the department and the organization.

As part of the maintenance team, you will be responsible for maintaining TPM records within the department whilst driving continuous improvement to processes and working practice.

The Maintenance Engineer will be required to work permanent night shifts to support the ongoing growth off the company and sometimes carry out tasks outside of their normal reemit and working hours, so flexibility is essential;

  • 8.30pm till 6:15am Monday to Thursday
  • 9hrs 15mins shifts
  • Shift Allowance 30%
Key Responsibilities
  • To help ensure all employees are adhering to Company Health & Safety and Environmental policies.
  • Assist with real time problem resolution and troubleshooting issues as they arise without the direction of management.
  • Ability to work calmly under pressure.
  • Manage adherence to TPM activity, plan to minimise downtime.
  • Manage your work requisitions through the CMMS and report effectively on progress to the Facilities Manager.
  • Leverage the CORE operating system to maintain clean, organized, and professional working practices.
  • Be able to fault find on a range of industrial equipment including CNC machines, Solvent cleaning machines, welding equipment, 3-phase motors and controls, safety control circuits at 12v/24v DC and 110v/ 230v AC, electric heating systems in process lines, PLC experience preferred but not essential.
