Job summary

Collins Aerospace, part of RTX, is seeking a hands-on technician to support manufacturing operations in Wolverhampton. The role covers degreasing, chemical cleaning, heat treatment, and inspection prep while following strict EH&S policies.

You will train across disciplines, joining an environment focused on continuous improvement, safety, and teamwork. Flexibility for shift work is required to meet production needs and maintain excellent quality standards.

Qualifications

• Good level of numeracy and literacy.
• Manufacturing experience is advantageous.
• Ability to work to high level of accuracy and detail.
• Must be a strong team player and communicator.

Responsibilities

• Assist with degreasing components and chemical cleaning tasks.
• Operate heat treatment ovens and hardness testers.
• Prepare units for inspection and support TPM activities.
• Adhere to EH&S policies and site safety standards.
• Work shifts (AM/PM/Nights) as required.

What You Will Do

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the business in many areas in operational activity. Role will include and not limited to.

• Degreasing Components
• Chemical Cleaning and Processing
• Operating Heat Treatment Ovens
• Operating hardness tester
• Operating Drop Quench Ovens
• Prepping units for inspection.
• Operating Vac dry oven.
• TPM (Total Preventative Maintenance)
• EH&S (Environmental, Health & Safety Compliance)

The right applicant will be trained in all the necessary disciplines of all processes and EH&S. The applicant must be prepared to work shifts (AM/PM/Nights) when required.
