Job summary

Collins Aerospace, an RTX company, is seeking a Quality Inspector for our onsite team in Wolverhampton. You will read and interpret engineering drawings and assembly guidelines, ensuring LOT traceability and strict adherence to quality standards.

Qualifications

  • NVQ/City & Guilds or similar vocational qualification in fabrication, mechanical or engineering subject.
  • Proven experience in Final Inspection.
  • Experience with inspecting Steel and Aluminium products.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and assembly guidelines
  • Work with the production team to meet project targets and deadlines
  • Support ACE activities (5s, TPM, Turnbacks, Clinics)
  • Maintain LOT traceability and quality control
  • Continue ongoing internal and external training to welding certification requirements
  • Ensure working environment is clean, organised and company standards
  • Comply with all Environmental Health & Safety requirements

What You Will Do


  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and assembly guidelines

  • Work with the production team to meet project targets and deadlines

  • Support ACE activities (5s, TPM, Turnbacks, Clinics)

  • Maintain LOT traceability and quality control

Qualifications We Prefer


  • NVQ/City & Guilds or similar vocational qualification in fabrication, mechanical or engineering subject (Time served will also be considered depending on relevant experience)

  • Proven experience in Final Inspection

  • Experience with inspecting Steel and Aluminium products l

  • Experience working to high tolerance

  • Familiarity with precision tools such as verniers, digital calipers or measuring gauges

  • Experience in aerospace, motorsport or similar industries is advantageous but not essential

  • Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills
