Job summary

Apex Appoint are working exclusively with a growing manufacturing business to recruit an electrically biased Maintenance Engineer. You will maintain production equipment through a mix of planned preventative maintenance, reactive breakdowns and improvement projects.

You'll join an experienced engineering team focused on maximising reliability and minimising downtime across the site, with a late shift pattern and overtime opportunities. The role offers long-term stability and a permanent contract.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or Maintenance.
• Electrically biased Maintenance Engineer.
• Experience in manufacturing, FMCG, packaging or automated production.
• Strong fault-finding ability on electrical and mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain production equipment through planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdowns.
• Lead continuous improvement projects to maximise equipment reliability.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to minimise downtime across the site.

Apex Appoint are working exclusively with a growing manufacturing business looking to strengthen its engineering team with the addition of an electrically biased Maintenance Engineer.

The Role

You'll be responsible for maintaining production equipment through a mixture of planned preventative maintenance, reactive breakdowns and continuous improvement projects.

You’ll work alongside an experienced engineering team to maximise equipment reliability and minimise downtime across the site.

Shift Pattern

• Monday to Friday – Late Shift


• Sunday (Days) & Monday–Thursday (2:00pm–10:00pm)

We're Looking For

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or Maintenance


• Electrically biased Maintenance Engineer


• Manufacturing, FMCG, food, packaging or automated production experience


• Strong fault-finding ability on electrical and mechanical systems


• Proactive attitude with a focus on continuous improvement
