Job summary

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join our Birmingham team. You will perform preventative and reactive maintenance across building services, diagnose faults, and implement repairs.

The role includes weekly PPMs (fire alarm tests, emergency light tests, hazard checks), lighting and basic plumbing tasks, and coordinating with contractors. You will maintain records and uphold health and safety standards within a high-profile environment.

Qualifications

• Experience of working in high profile work environment.
• Fabric experience advantageous.
• PC literate is desirable for record-keeping and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative & reactive maintenance across building services; diagnose faults and implement repairs.
• Weekly PPMs such as fire alarm tests, emergency light tests and hazard checks.
• Repairs floor and wall coverings.
• Responsible for other building maintenance & installation works as required.
• Accountable for lighting, lamp changes, AHU/FCU checks and basic plumbing requirements.
• Provide excellent customer service, respond to requests, and maintain effective communication with stakeholders.
• Oversee and liaise with contractors across site.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections and equipment logs.
• Ensure adherence to health & safety regulations and maintain compliance records.

We are recruiting an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join the team located in Birmingham!

The Role:

• Perform preventative & reactive maintenance, diagnose faults, and implement effective repairs across all building services systems.


• Weekly PPMs such as fire alarm tests, emergency light tests & hazard checks.


• Repairs floor & wall coverings.


• Responsible for other building maintenance & installation works as required.


• Accountable for lighting, general lamp changes, Filter Changes AHU's / FCU's and Basic Plumbing requirements


• Provide excellent customer service, respond to requests, and maintain effective communication with all stakeholders.


• Oversee and liaise with contractors across site.


• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, inspections, and equipment logs.


• Ensure adherence to health & safety regulations, conduct inspections, and maintain accurate records of compliance.
