Job summary

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions in Birmingham is seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join our team. This role covers preventative and reactive maintenance across building services, with weekly PPMs and repairs to floors and coverings. You will be responsible for lighting, AHU/FCU filters, basic plumbing, and maintaining logs.

Excellent customer service and contractor coordination are essential. Hours are 8am–5pm, Monday to Friday, with overtime available.

Qualifications

• Experience in a high-profile work environment.
• Fabric experience is advantageous.
• PC literacy required.
• Good customer relationship skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and reactive maintenance across building services.
• Weekly PPMs including fire alarm tests and emergency lighting.
• Repair floor and wall coverings.
• Oversee lighting, lamps changes, AHU/FCU filters, and basic plumbing.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment logs.
• Ensure health and safety compliance and conduct inspections.
• Coordinate with contractors on site and communicate with stakeholders.
