Job summary

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is recruiting an experienced Maintenance Engineer for our site in Birmingham. You will perform preventative and reactive maintenance on building services, run weekly PPMs, and ensure safety and compliance.

The role emphasizes customer service, coordination with contractors, and meticulous record-keeping. Working hours are 8am–5pm, Monday to Friday, with overtime available.

Qualifications

• PC literate and competent with standard software.
• Demonstrated ability to manage customer relationships.
• Experience working in high-profile environments is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on building services systems.
• Conduct weekly PPMs including fire alarm and emergency light tests.
• Repair floor & wall coverings and other maintenance tasks.
• Oversee lighting, lamp changes, AHU/FCU checks and basic plumbing.
• Maintain accurate logs of maintenance activities and inspections.
• Liaise with contractors and ensure health & safety compliance.

We are recruiting an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join the team located in Birmingham!

The Role:

• Perform preventative & reactive maintenance, diagnose faults, and implement effective repairs across all building services systems.
• Weekly PPMs such as fire alarm tests, emergency light tests & hazard checks.
• Repairs floor & wall coverings.
• Responsible for other building maintenance & installation works as required.
• Accountable for lighting, general lamp changes, Filter Changes AHU's / FCU's and Basic Plumbing requirements
• Provide excellent customer service, respond to requests, and maintain effective communication with all stakeholders.
• Oversee and liaise with contractors across site.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, inspections, and equipment logs.
• Ensure adherence to health & safety regulations, conduct inspections, and maintain accurate records of compliance.
