Maintenance Engineer

Thirsk, North Yorkshire YO7

£33,000 - £35,000 per annum plus Company Car/Van

Permanent full-time role working 4 days (48 hours)

Hours of work can either be Thursday to Sunday or Friday to Monday, 6am-6pm.

Commutable from York, Northallerton, Ripon, Harrogate, Castle Howard, Tadcaster, Wetherby, Darlington, and Middlesbrough.

Hawk 3 Talent Solutions are recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Engineer based near Thirsk, North Yorkshire.

The Role

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the successful candidate will provide engineering support to the production team during day shifts.

Responsibilities

1. Carry out all planned, preventative, and corrective maintenance tasks according to maintenance systems.
2. Investigate, analyze root causes, and resolve issues related to machinery; support process and quality improvements.
3. Maintain up-to-date documentation and records for the shift.
4. Provide breakdown reports and actions to support planned maintenance.
5. Follow all health and safety guidelines and requirements.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a maintenance engineering role.
• Good knowledge of pneumatic and electrical control systems.
• Experience in troubleshooting and fault finding.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Capable of working in a fast-paced production environment.
• Flexible, adaptable, proactive, and motivated.

Desirable Skills

• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Mechanically biased background.
