Job summary

TipTopJob is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join our manufacturing site in the United Kingdom. You will keep production running safely and efficiently through planned and reactive maintenance.

You will fault-find and repair electrical and mechanical equipment, perform planned preventative maintenance, maintain motors, drives, panels and hydraulics/pneumatics, and gain exposure to PLC controlled equipment.

Qualifications

• A recognised engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3, City and Guilds or equivalent).
• Previous experience in manufacturing, production or an industrial environment.
• Willingness to learn and work across both electrical and mechanical disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Fault finding and repairing electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance across the site.
• Maintaining motors, drives, control panels and industrial machinery.
• Working with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Safely isolating and reinstating electrical equipment.
• Supporting continuous improvement activities.
• Gaining exposure to PLCs or automation is advantageous but not essential.

• A practical approach to fault finding and maintenance.
• A willingness to learn and work across both electrical and mechanical disciplines.
• Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
• Experience with PLCs or automation is advantageous but not essential

current or recent experience as maintenance technician, multiskilled maintenance engineer, service engineer
