The focus of the Maintenance Technician is to ensure all safety regulations and policies are adhered to, to conduct preventative maintenance on time to a high standard, and to provide high levels of equipment availability through continuous improvement.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prioritize health and safety best practices in all work, ensuring compliance with all H&S standards and regulations.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance on a full range of equipment within the site.
• React quickly to breakdowns, communicate clearly with affected parties, and work efficiently to resolve issues.
• Provide high levels of equipment availability.
• Support the wider team and manage contractors.
• Take on on-site support and responsibilities for managing and escalating high-risk situations.
• Manage contractors when required.
• Oversee critical spare parts inventory.
• Provide general production support.
• Utilize basic IT/IS functions.
• Maintain electronic documents and databases, recording accurate data in reports.
• Perform repairs to building infrastructure.
• Create checklists and maintenance lists for new installations.
• Review, complete, and modify construction plans (Management of Change) for production facilities.
• Collaborate with leaders and partners to ensure food safety and partner safety.
• Understand and execute standard operating procedures related to the position.
• Follow all PCP and CCP checks.
• Implement reaction plans for food safety, food quality, and customer requirement outages, and assist in ensuring proper operation and product quality.
