Job summary

Jonathan Lee Group is recruiting a Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer for a full-time role based in Telford. The position offers an attractive salary of over £51K and benefits, with 8-hour shifts on a Mon-Fri pattern.

You will maintain automated plant equipment, robots and facilities to ensure production continuity. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will perform mechanical and electrical servicing, fault finding from schematics, and continuous improvement of maintenance processes.

Qualifications

• Must be apprentice trained in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Level 3 equivalent.
• Minimum C&G craft qualification or NVQ in a related discipline.
• Experience working with robots and PLC controlled machinery.

Responsibilities

• Ensure equipment availability meets departmental targets.
• Engage in root cause analysis of repeat or major breakdowns and report improvements.
• Engineer out issues with continuous improvement mindset and methodology.
• Facilitate preventative maintenance schedules and recommend improvements.
• Support internal customers with technical issues.

Job description

Excellent new opportunity for a Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our client's inclusive and friendly team. This full-time Maintenance Engineer role is based in Telford and offers an attractive salary of over £51K and good benefits.

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for the overall mechanical and electrical maintenance of automated plant equipment, robots and facilities, ensuring production is supported.

Shift: Working 8-hour shifts rotating am, pm and nights Mon - Fri.

Salary: £51K

As Maintenance Engineer, you can expect to carry out the following duties:

• Ensure equipment availability is in line with departmental targets
• Engage in root cause analysis of repeat or major breakdowns and provide reports with suggested improvements
• Engineer out previous issues following a continuous improvement mindset and methodology
• Facilitate Preventative Maintenance schedules and make recommendations for improvement
• Support internal customers with technical issues

You must be apprentice trained in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or level 3 equivalent. You will also require the following:

• A minimum C&G craft qualification or NVQ qualification in a related discipline
• The ability to carry out mechanical and electrical service of equipment
• Experience working with robots and PLC controlled machinery
• Effective fault finding from electrical schematics.
• Confident fault-finding PLC's

Current or recent experience as multi-skilled maintenance engineer, shift maintenance engineer, maintenance technician, service engineer, electrical maintenance engineer
