Job summary

Hewett Recruitment is seeking a Maintenance Engineer for a busy manufacturing operation in Kidderminster. The role centers on fault-finding, preventative maintenance and continuous improvement across electrical and mechanical systems, including PLCs.

This position offers rotating shifts from 6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm, Monday to Friday, with occasional on-call and overtime. You will contribute to reducing downtime while maintaining accurate CMMS records and driving efficiency.

Qualifications

• Time-served electrical or multi-skilled maintenance engineer.
• Electrically qualified with relevant certificates.
• Experience in manufacturing/production environments.
• Strong fault-finding across electrical and mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of PLCs, AC/DC drives and three-phase systems.
• Able to read electrical and pneumatic circuit diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Respond to machine breakdowns and equipment failures.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic faults.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and TPM activities.
• Fault-find on PLC-controlled machinery, drives and conveyor systems.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records using a CMMS system.
• Support machinery efficiency improvements and minimise downtime.
• Participate in occasional on-call and overtime requirements.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our client's established manufacturing operation in Kidderminster. This is an excellent opportunity for an electrically qualified engineer looking for a varied role focused on fault finding, preventative maintenance and continuous improvement.

Key Engineering Responsibilities
