Brazen Search is recruiting a Maintenance Engineer – Mechanical Bias for a leading packaging manufacturer in Pocklington. The role is days-based, Monday to Friday, offering a £50,000 salary and career stability within a well-established site.

You will lead planned maintenance and fix breakdowns to keep production lines running smoothly. You'll use a CMMS to log activities, work with production teams, and contribute to reliability improvements, with opportunities for training and long-term career

Qualifikationen

• Experience in manufacturing maintenance roles.
• Qualified mechanical engineering qualification (apprenticeship/NVQ/City & Guilds).
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.

Aufgaben

• Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) across production equipment.
• Respond to mechanical breakdowns and diagnose faults.
• Maintain conveyors, gearboxes, bearings, pumps, motors, hydraulics and pneumatic systems.
• Support machinery upgrades and continuous improvement projects.
• Record maintenance activities using the CMMS system.
• Collaborate with production teams to maximise equipment performance.
• Ensure all work is performed safely and in line with procedures.

Are you a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer looking for a days-based role with an established manufacturer?

We're recruiting on behalf of a leading packaging manufacturer in Pocklington for an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join their engineering team. The Role

As a Maintenance Engineer, you'll be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of production machinery through a combination of planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown support. You'll also contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, helping to increase equipment reliability and minimise downtime.

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across production equipment.
• Respond to mechanical breakdowns and carry out fault diagnosis and repairs.
• Maintain conveyors, gearboxes, bearings, pumps, motors, hydraulics and pneumatic systems.
• Support machinery upgrades and continuous improvement projects.
• Accurately record maintenance activities using the CMMS system.
• Work closely with production teams to maximise equipment performance.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with company procedures.

About You

To be successful, you'll ideally have:

• Previous experience as a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer within a manufacturing environment.
• A recognised mechanical engineering qualification (Apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent).
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working on industrial production machinery.
• Basic electrical fault-finding experience would be advantageous.
• A proactive attitude with a strong focus on reliability and continuous improvement.
