Job summary

Kingspan Insulation Pembridge site is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to lead planned preventative maintenance and address quality issues. You will diagnose electrical and mechanical faults, apply lean improvement ideas, and ensure safe, reliable operation of plant and equipment on a Panama shift pattern.

You will hand over 15 minutes before shifts, complete timely reporting and RCA when required, and collaborate to minimise downtime.

Qualifications

• Apprentice trained with City & Guilds/NVQ in engineering.
• 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations.
• Fault diagnosis of electrical and mechanical systems.
• Experience with planned and predictive maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Focusses on planned preventative maintenance and quality issues using diagnostic skills to identify and rectify problems.
• Complete handover approximately 15 minutes before the start of a shift.
• Work to minimise line downtime and maximise equipment productivity.
• Complete reporting timely and effectively; conduct RCA when needed.

Job description

We are looking for a Maintenance Engineer based at our Pembridge site in Herefordshire, working 42 hours on a Panama shift pattern.

You will be focusing on planned preventative maintenance and quality issues using diagnostic skills to identify and rectify problems effectively. You should have experience of electrical and mechanical fault finding with an understanding of planned maintenance of plant and equipment. You will need to demonstrate experience of continuous improvement and lean programs.

To support smooth shift transitions, engineers are required to complete a brief handover (approximately 15 minutes before the start of a shift) with the outgoing/incoming shift.

Skills and Experience required of our Maintenance Engineer

• Apprentice trained with City & Guilds and NVQ in engineering or equivalent
• 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations
• Carry out fault diagnosis (electrical and mechanical) - PLC experience is an advantage
• Ensure that all repairs are executed in a timely cost effective manner.
• Work with all parties to minimise line downtime and maximise equipment productivity
• Good level of computer skills and CCMS
• Experience of working in a hazardous area and flammable environments.
• Basic Fabrication skills
• Understanding the need of planned and predictive maintenance
• Understanding of pneumatic & hydraulic systems
• Complete reporting feedback timely and effectively
• Conduct RCA identifying fault down to component level
• You must be safety conscious and ideally have undertaken relevant Health and Safety training
