Job summary

Ruth Wagstaff Recruitment is sourcing a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer for an independent food manufacturer on the west side of Grantham. The role offers a Monday to Friday double-day shift pattern with no nights or weekends, supporting a strong work–life balance.

The successful candidate will maintain production equipment, perform preventative and reactive maintenance, diagnose faults and assist with projects, collaborating closely with production to minimise downtime.

Qualifications

• Qualified Maintenance Engineer with C&G/NVQ Level 3 or ONC/HNC or equivalent.
• Multi-skilled mechanical and electrical experience.
• Apprenticeship trained.
• Food manufacturing experience advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Maintain production equipment to maximise uptime and output.
• Complete preventative and reactive maintenance.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults.
• Monitor equipment performance and take corrective action.
• Support engineering projects, installations and equipment modifications.
• Work closely with production to minimise downtime.

An independent food manufacturer located on the West side of Grantham, is looking for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their established engineering team.

Monday to Friday - No Nights & No Weekends

The role operates on a straightforward Monday to Friday double-day shift pattern, offering an excellent work-life balance:

• Week 1: 6am - 2pm
• Week 2: 2pm - 10pm
• No night shifts or weekend working

This could be ideal for Maintenance Engineers currently working rotating shifts, nights or weekends who are looking for a better work-life balance.

Engineers from other manufacturing sectors are also encouraged to apply, with the company having successfully recruited engineers from different industries.

• Food manufacturing experience advantageous, but engineers from other sectors are welcome.
