Plant Maintenance Engineer Position

Are you an experienced Plant Maintenance Engineer looking for a new role? Our client is one of the largest recycling plants in the UK, and they are looking for someone like you to join their team!

This position offers a competitive salary. They are seeking a friendly and enthusiastic candidate to fill it.

Shift:

49 hours per week
Monday to Friday + 4 hours on Saturday mornings

Pay Rate:

Main Duties:

• Inspect and troubleshoot industrial shredders, granulators, conveyor belts, and other plant machinery
• Fix faults on plant machinery or arrange for replacements to be installed
• Carry out inspections on plant machinery
• Perform routine scheduled maintenance for vehicles such as Lorries
• Conduct preventative maintenance
• Perform welding activities when necessary
• Handle breakdowns, unplanned problems, and repairs
• Check functionality of safety systems
• Fit new parts and ensure equipment is operational

Skills Required:

• Previous mechanical and electrical experience
• Experience in repairing mobile plant such as forklifts and Lorries
• Background in Lorry (HGV) maintenance or vehicle maintenance is an advantage but not mandatory
• Experience in repairing machinery such as conveyor belts, industrial shredders, and granulators
• Basic knowledge of electrical systems is an advantage but not essential
