Job summary

bbe Recruitment is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to support production machinery across three local sites in the United Kingdom. The role involves fault finding, mechanical repairs, and preventative maintenance, with additional support for facilities maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives.

Ideal candidates have 5–10 years of mechanical maintenance experience, strong fault-finding skills, and welding/fabrication experience.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years' mechanical maintenance experience within a manufacturing or production environment.
• Strong fault-finding and repair skills on production machinery.
• Experience replacing bearings, conveyor belts and other mechanical components.
• Welding and fabrication experience.
• Self-motivated with excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to maintenance.

Job description

Our client, a leading manufacturer supplying the defence sector, is looking to recruit an experienced Senior Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join their growing maintenance team.

Working across three local sites, you'll be responsible for maintaining production machinery, carrying out fault finding, mechanical repairs and preventative maintenance, while also supporting facilities maintenance and continuous improvement projects.

The Ideal Candidate

• 5-10 years' mechanical maintenance experience within a manufacturing or production environment.
