Job description

ATA Recruitment is working with one of the largest manufacturers in the nation to find a motivated and driven maintenance engineer to join a team with a rich 125-year family-led history, which remains strong today and is reflected in the company values across all 18 sites nationwide. With a turnover of over £1.2bn, the successful maintenance engineer will join a secure and successful business, working within a team of 16 experienced engineers from diverse backgrounds, to maintain and expand the site. This role offers excellent benefits and opportunities for progression in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

About the role

As a maintenance engineer, you will maintain electrical components such as sensors, e-stops, motors, and relays, as well as mechanical components including belts, bearings, pneumatics, and hydraulics.

You will be expected to:

1. Respond to breakdowns.
2. Perform Planned Preventative Maintenance.
3. Conduct electrical and mechanical fault finding.
4. Perform basic PLC fault finding.
5. Replace and repair electrical components.
6. Replace mechanical components.

About you

To be considered, you should have:

• Strong team player skills.
• Ability to fault find electrically and mechanically.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to work night shifts.
• A recognised Level 3 (or higher) engineering qualification such as City and Guilds, NVQ, BTEC, HND, or HNC.
