Job summary

Fresh Start Recruitment (UK) Ltd in Mansfield is seeking a maintenance engineer to perform preventative maintenance, fault finding and repairs on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems. The role requires an apprenticeship-trained engineer and eligibility to work in the UK.

Shift pattern includes afters and nights, with a 37.5 hour week. You will contribute to equipment reliability and support installation of new machinery as needed.

Qualifications

• Mechanical and electrical maintenance experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) in accordance with the maintenance schedule.
• Respond quickly to breakdowns and minimise production downtime.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic faults.
• Maintain injection, blow moulding, extrusion machines, robots, automation and ancillary equipment.
• Fault-find electrical control systems and PLC-controlled equipment.
• Identify recurring equipment issues and implement permanent corrective actions.
• Support installation and commissioning of new machinery and equipment.
