Job summary

Brenntag UK is seeking an experienced Operators and Operations Manager to oversee site maintenance, calibration, safety checks and project delivery at the Lutterworth facility. You will manage the effluent treatment and site building maintenance, participate in on-call duties, and drive continuous improvement with the Site Manager.

Key requirements include CMMS usage, RCA capability, and a strong background in liquid process engineering within a COMAH environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with CMMS is essential.
• Experience in liquid process engineering in manufacturing is essential.
• Familiarity with Health and Safety at Work Act, COMAH, PUWER, LOLER and Confined Space Working is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead or support capital and site improvement projects with scope development and contractor coordination.
• Act as Site Permit Controller, reviewing RAMS and issuing permits for maintenance and high-risk activities.
• Carry out and manage mechanical, electrical and process isolations per site procedures.

operators and Operations Manager with regular site safety checks and calibrations in line with routine planned maintenance.Manage and monitor the effluent treatment facility within the site consent limit.Responsibility for general buildings and site maintenance.Undertake any reasonable tasks or duties assigned by the appropriate line managers from time to time, related to the effective and efficient performance of the job, and providing they are within the post holders skills and ability.Due to the operational requirements of the site - role may feature elements of on call and emergency callout response by exception i.e. customer requirement, ship cargo deliveriesLead or support capital and site improvement projects, including scope development, contractor coordination, installation, commissioning and project completionAct as Site Permit Controller, reviewing RAMS and issuing permits for maintenance, isolation, confined space entry and working at height activities.Carry out and manage mechanical, electrical and process isolations in accordance with site procedures and safe systems of work.Investigate equipment and process failures, undertake Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventative actions to improve plant reliability and performance.Working with Site Manager to identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, compliance, reliability and operational performance.

Experience / Knowledge:

• Chemical industry background on a COMAH facility- PreferredExperience in working in a Safety Driven environment - EssentialExperience of utilising a computerised maintenance management system (CMMS) - Essential.
