Job summary

Brenntag UK & Ireland is seeking a Warehouse Operator to join our distribution team in the Midlands. You will perform manual handling and operate a counterbalance forklift to move chemicals safely in a regulated warehouse.

Key duties include loading/unloading, ensuring correct order picking, and maintaining high safety standards while complying with all legislation and operational procedures. Training and PPE are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in manual handling and safe chemical handling.
• Experience operating a counterbalance forklift.
• Experience working in a distribution or warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

• Safely handle and store chemical products in compliance with legislation.
• Pick and check vehicle loads and match customer orders.
• Load vehicles and ensure safe dispatch per procedures.
• Build loads to meet orders manually or with pallets.
• Maintain safe yard and warehouse operations.
• Carry out manual handling and chemical filling as required.
• Tankers offload into bulk tanks or IBCs.
• Load/unload trailers and store in warehouse.
• Fill chemicals using automated stations with PPE.
• Perform additional tasks as directed.

Job Posting Requirements About The Role

May work in a range of operations functions in a warehouse or depot, in stock handling, forklift driving, mixing, blending, filling and other operations, as assigned by supervisor in charge. As an operator, it will be your responsibility to:

• The safe handling, filling and storage of chemical products to ensure compliance with legislation and operational requirements.
• Pick and Check vehicle loads and confirm match customer order.
• Load vehicles of supplies and ensure safe handling and dispatch to laid down operational procedures.
• Build loads to meet customer orders, both manual handling and by fork lifted pallets.
• Contribute to the safe and efficient running of the yard and warehouse.
• Carry out manual handling yard duties and chemical filling as required
• Carry out tanker offload into bulk tanks or IBC's
• Load & Unload IDN trailers and put away into Warehouse
• Filling chemicals using automated filling stations, full protective suits and PPE are supplied.
• Undertake any reasonable tasks or duties assigned by your line manager from time to time, related to the effective and efficient performance of the job, and providing they are within the post holders skills and ability.
