Job summary

Probe UK Limited is seeking a multi-skilled maintenance engineer to support the current team on a Monday–Friday day shift. The role involves servicing and commissioning new machinery, plus ongoing production optimisation within a forward-thinking company with staff-centric culture.

Ideal candidates are apprentice-trained, electrically qualified, with manufacturing experience and 18th edition. PLC, hydraulics, and plastics injection moulding experience are beneficial.

Qualifications

• Apprentice-trained in mechanical or electrical disciplines.
• Electrically qualified for industrial environments.
• Experience in a manufacturing setting is essential.
• 18th edition electrical installation and design regulations.
• PLC experience preferred to support automation.
• Hydraulic experience is advantageous.
• Plastic injection moulding experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Service and maintain plant and machinery.
• Attend machinery breakdowns and faults.
• Support production optimisation and efficiency.
• Install new machinery and commission systems.
• Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPMs).
• Contribute to continuous improvement of processes.

Job description

Due to massive expansion and investment my client is looking for a multi-skilled maintenance engineer to support the existing members of the maintenance team with day-to-day operations and the expansion of the building and the installation and commissioning of new machinery. My client is looking for an electrically trained maintenance engineer to join their team on a Monday to Friday day shift. This role may in the future change to a continental day role (shift premium will be added to salary). Maintenance Engineer Duties include:

• Days (Mon - Thurs 08:30am - 5:00pm, Fri 08:30 - 4:00pm).
• Service and maintain plant and machinery.
• Attend machinery breakdowns.
• Support ongoing production optimisation.
• Installation of new machinery.
• To carry out PPMs.
• Continuous improvement of production processes.

Maintenance Engineer Requirements:

• Apprentice trained. (Mechanical or Electrical).
• Electrically qualified.
• Previous experience within a manufacturing environment.
• 18th edition.
• PLC experience (preferable).
• Hydraulic experience.
• Plastic injection moulding experience (preferable).

This Maintenance Engineer position is commutable from: Telford, Shrewsbury, Bridgnorth, Codsall, Wombourne, Shifnal, Wolverhampton, and surrounding areas.
