Full-Time, Permanent Position | Immediate Start Available
Key Responsibilities
- Refurbish, repair, and service 1 and 2-axis electrically powered machinery.
- Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults.
- Replace and repair electrical and mechanical components as required.
- Carry out preventative maintenance and functional testing.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings and engineering documentation.
- Inspect machinery to identify wear, damage, or potential failures.
- Work safely in accordance with company procedures and Health & Safety legislation.
- Assist with machine commissioning and final testing where required.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the workshop.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Previous experience in a maintenance, service, or refurbishment engineering role.
- Good electrical fault-finding and mechanical repair skills.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and engineering drawings.
- Experience working with industrial machinery or automation equipment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- A proactive and positive approach to work.
Desirable (but not essential)
- Experience with welding positioners, manipulators, or rotating equipment.
- Knowledge of electric motors, gearboxes, limit switches, and control systems.
- FLT or overhead crane experience.
- Experience using hand and power tools in an engineering environment.
