Job summary

TipTopJob in Hull is seeking a Maintenance Engineer (Nights) to cover a 4-on 4-off pattern, working a 6pm to 6am shift on-site at a leading food manufacturer.

The role involves reactive and planned maintenance, with the engineer often being the sole on-site technician during night hours; NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) is required, and candidates with a mechanical bias or multi-skilled background in manufacturing or facilities are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Carry out reactive and planned maintenance on machinery.
• PMs during evening shift (6pm–12am) and facilities work 12am–6am.
• Work as the sole engineer on site during night hours.
• Respond to breakdowns and attend to repairs.

4 on 4 off 6pm to 6am (Flexible)

Maintenance Engineer required for an industry leading and growing food manufacturer. The business is committed to developing and upskilling their engineering team.

This role would suit mechanically biased or multi skilled engineers with a NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent). As well as experienced production focused engineers, this role would also suit candidates with a background in facilities or field service looking for an opportunity to move into manufacturing.

The successful Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for carrying out both reactive and planned maintenance on machinery during production hours of 6pm until 12am, and from 12am to 6am the Maintenance Engineer can expect to work as the sole engineer on site, carrying out planned maintenance activities and facilities work across the factory.
