Job summary

Residence Inn by Marriott London Tower Bridge is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to lead hands-on maintenance across the hotel, ensuring energy efficiency and guest comfort. You will liaise with contractors, manage safety compliance, and drive timely repairs while mentoring the team to uphold Marriott standards.

The role requires strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently to meet tight deadlines in a busy hospitality environment.

Qualifications

• Hands-on maintenance and repair experience in hospitality or similar environment.
• Strong understanding of health and safety regulations in hospitality settings.
• Ability to liaise with contractors and suppliers.

We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer to join our Truly Talented team.

As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for the upkeep, maintenance, and management of all areas of the hotel, including energy conservation. You will use your leadership skills to inspire your team and provide a seamless guest experience every time.

Your role

The role requires someone who will be hands-on with repair and general maintenance. You will meet time deadlines, liaise with contractors and take responsibility for health and safety on the property. The right candidate, therefore, must be organised, a good communicator, and a hands-on manager.

• Highly self-motivated, confident, decisive, and able to work with limited supervision;
• Attention to the smallest details;
• Good understanding of compliance in hospitality and hotels;
• Ability to build and maintain a strong relationship with suppliers;
• Results-focused with a desire to succeed;
• Knowledge of electrics and health and safety;
• Computer literacy is also a key for the compliance and audit part of the role.

You must have the right to work in the UK to be eligible for this role. Documented evidence of eligibility will be required from all candidates prior to commencing employment.
