APEX APPOINT LTD near March, Cambridgeshire, is seeking an Electrical Bias Maintenance Engineer for a hands-on role in a fast-paced FMCG manufacturing environment. You’ll perform electrical and mechanical fault finding, planned preventative maintenance, and reactive breakdown support on PLC-controlled machinery.

The role offers a £47,000 salary on a 3-shift rotation, permanent contract, and ongoing training across modern production equipment.

We're recruiting an Electrical Bias Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established FMCG manufacturer based near March, Cambridgeshire. This is a hands-on maintenance role working within a fast-paced production environment, supporting both planned and reactive maintenance across a range of automated manufacturing equipment.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for:

• Electrical and mechanical fault finding
• Planned preventative maintenance
• Reactive breakdown support
• Working with PLC-controlled machinery
• Motors, drives, sensors, conveyors and production equipment
• Identifying recurring faults and supporting root cause analysis
• Supporting continuous improvement and machinery reliability
• Working closely with production to minimise downtime

What We’re Looking For

Ideally, you’ll have:

• Previous experience as a Maintenance Engineer within FMCG, food, packaging or a similar manufacturing environment
• Strong electrical fault-finding skills
• Experience working with PLC-controlled machinery
• Mechanical maintenance experience alongside your electrical skills
• A recognised engineering qualification such as NVQ Level 3, HNC, City & Guilds or equivalent
• Experience working within a fast-paced production environment
