Alexander Steele are delighted to be working with a hugely successful food manufacturing business who are seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join their engineering team in Grantham. Qualifications

• Apprentice-trained Engineer or equivalent manufacturing engineering experience.
• Multi-skilled engineering experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving capabilities.
• Experience of both PPM and breakdown maintenance.
• Good awareness of health and safety requirements.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication, organisational, and record-keeping skills.
• Flexible approach to supporting operational demands.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance activities.
• Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults to minimise downtime.
• Support equipment upgrades, installations, and capital investment projects.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) to prevent recurring issues.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records through the CMMS system.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to maximise site performance.
• Ensure compliance with health & safety, food safety, quality, and hygiene standards.

Salary: Up to £44,000 Dependant on Experience + Great Benefits

Hours: Monday to Friday - Alternating Earlies (06:00 - 14:00) and Lates (14:00 - 22:00)
