Job summary

NP Aerospace, Ltd. in Coventry seeks a Maintenance Engineer to join a fast-paced, global armour technology manufacturer. The role covers maintenance of site plant, equipment and buildings and requires a flexible, multi-skilled mindset for both mechanical and electrical tasks.

Shifts are rotating continental, 4 days on/off with 11.25-hour blocks, day or night rotation, and a base salary around £45,000 plus a substantial shift allowance. Immediate start options are available.

Qualifications

• Multi-skilled maintenance engineer with mechanical or electrical bias.
• Experience maintaining plant, equipment and building services.
• Willingness to learn and a positive can-do attitude.

• Respond to equipment breakdowns and carry out reactive maintenance to minimise downtime.

Salary: circa £45,000 base, subject to experience, plus £14,773 shift allowance, total £59,539 per year based on £45,000

Two Permanent Positions | Continental Shift | Coventry | Immediate Start

The continental shift starts in August. Join before then and you will start on a temporary non -continental shift pattern until the new shift goes live.

The job

This is a great opportunity for a multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer (mechanically or electrically bias) to broaden their skills and effectively manage a variety of maintenance responsibilities for a global armour technology manufacturer. You will be a valued member of the maintenance team responsible for the upkeep of the sites plant, equipment and buildings.

We are looking for all levels of ability and experience within the maintenance skillset, whether your recently qualified or have been in the industry for many years – we believe skills can be learnt, a positive can-do attitude is essential

Shift pattern

This is a rotating continental shift pattern. You work 4 days on, then 4 days off, on 11.25-hour shifts. Shifts rotate between days and nights.

Day shift: 6am to 6pm

Two unpaid breaks: 30 minutes and 15 minutes

Night shift: 6pm to 6am

Two unpaid breaks: 30 minutes and 15 minutes

Your rota will confirm whether you are on days or nights for each 4‑day block.
