Job description

Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Salary: £54,000

Schedule: 4 on 4 off days/nights

Location: Desford

We are seeking an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established manufacturer in Desford. This company is a household name within the building products industry. The salary package includes 290 mandatory overtime hours.

The Role:

  • Reporting maintenance issues through the CMMS system
  • Reporting breakdowns
  • Completing TPM/PPM activities
  • Monitoring each stage of the process
  • Ensuring correct spare parts are fitted to operate safely
  • Rectifying stoppages/malfunctions and asking for assistance when needed
  • Adhering to site PPE policies
  • Fault diagnosis and repairs
  • Ensuring safety standards are followed at all times
  • Complying with health, safety, and environmental regulations

Candidate Requirements:

  • Good working knowledge of PLCs and associated controlled automated equipment, with competence in fault diagnosis on hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Ability to work independently, making decisions as needed, including electrical repairs and continuous improvement activities
  • Understanding of system operations
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulation compliance
  • Ability to prioritize and meet tight deadlines
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
