Job summary

Hunter Selection Limited is seeking a Lead/Senior Maintenance Engineer for a manufacturing client in the United Kingdom. You will respond to machine breakdowns, implement preventative maintenance plans, and drive improvements to reduce downtime.

The role requires strong engineering standards, experience in engineering/manufacturing environments, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement. You will document tasks using an electronic reporting system and contribute to a culture of

Responsibilities

• Respond to machine breakdowns to minimise downtime and improve reliability.
• Execute maintenance plans for preventative, reactive work.
• Use root cause analysis tools and 5S principles.
• Support a culture of Continuous Improvement.
• Carry out routine Planned Preventative Maintenance.
• Accurately record maintenance tasks in electronic system.

Role & Responsibilities

• Respond to machine breakdowns with a view to minimising downtime and improving long term machine reliability
• Execution of the Lead/Senior Maintenance Engineer's plan to work preventatively in addition to reactively
• Use of appropriate root cause analysis tools & 5S
• Actively support a culture of Continuous Improvement, looking at ways to engineer out persistent problems
• Carry out routine Planned Preventative Maintenance
• Accurately record all maintenance tasks performed on an electronic reporting system

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

• Continuous improvement knowledge
• Strong knowledge of good engineering standards
• Experience in Engineering, manufacturing or production environments
