Job summary

Maintenance Engineer role near Burton-on-Trent, England, with a salary of £43K-£48K plus OT and shift allowance. You will maintain packaging machinery, conveyors and related equipment, performing both planned and reactive tasks under an engineering supervisor.

Ideal candidates have NVQ3 or time-served mechanical/electrical backgrounds, with experience in packaging lines. Rotating shifts, Monday–Friday options, OT available, and a competitive package.“

Responsibilities

• Carry out 3‑phase electrical fault finding and repair on contactors, sensors and motors.
• Support welding/fabrication and general facilities tasks; execute PPMs.

Maintenance Engineer (BBBH1702) Burton-On-Trent, England

Salary: GBP43000 - GBP48000 per annum + +OT + Shift Allowance

Our client is a very successful manufacturing business and Staffbase have been appointed to recruit for the position of Maintenance Engineer.
Basic salary £43K - £48K + OT

The successful applicant will undertake mechanical and electrical maintenance activities at our client's busy manufacturing plant near Burton-on-Trent.

The Role:

Reporting to the engineering supervisor you will be responsible for the planned and reactive maintenance activities ata busy production facility.
Duties will include but is not limited to;

• Maintenance, service and repair of wrapping, bagging & packaging machinery, mixers, silos, conveyors systems and more
• 3-phase electrical fault find and repair contactors, sensors, relays, switchgear, motors
• Welding fabrication and toolroom work
• Some facilities maintenance
• PPM's

Candidates:

The successful candidate will be an experienced maintenance engineer with good mechanicaland electrical fault find and repair skills.

Applicants with previous experience in maintenance and repair of packaging machinery, conveyors or similar.
We are seeking applicants who ideally haveNVQ 3 certification in either mechanical or electrical engineering. However time served engineers will be considered.

Hours of work:

Rotating shifts

Monday to Friday 6am -2pm
Monday to Thursday 2pm - Midnight
Overtime available
