This is a great opportunity to join a globally operating and successful logistics/automation company as a multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer at a well-known retailer's automated distribution centre in South Derbyshire. The role is suitable for Maintenance Engineers located in Burton on Trent, Lichfield, Tamworth, or South Derbyshire. The shift pattern offers 7 full days off every 28 days.

The facility is 30 metres high, over 600,000 sq. ft, with extensive loading areas and sophisticated automated systems.

Salary & Benefits

• Salary of approximately £44k + Healthcare + Pension
• Continental shift pattern (12-hour days and nights) with 1 full week off every 28 days

Day-to-Day Activities of a Maintenance Engineer

• Reactive maintenance
• Planned maintenance
• Electro-mechanical engineering

• Problem analysis and continuous improvement

We are looking for a multi-skilled Electrical/Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, ideally with an understanding of PLCs.

Requirements for Maintenance Engineer

• Ideally fully apprenticeship trained with Level 3 engineering qualifications
• Good electrical and mechanical knowledge from a manufacturing or distribution environment
• Working knowledge of PLC control systems, preferably Siemens S7
• Experience with automated materials handling systems is advantageous but not essential
• Willing to work a continental shift pattern with days and nights
• Ability to work at heights when needed (via harnesses and full training)
