Job summary

ETS Consulting Ltd is recruiting a Maintenance Engineer in Bradford to maintain and optimise packaging machinery, drive improvements in line performance and product quality, and support new packaging formats and automation initiatives.

The role involves developing engineering solutions, performing trials, and preparing technical documentation. A strong background as an apprentice-trained engineer with experience in packaging machinery is preferred, along with knowledge of PM/PPM systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and implement engineering solutions that improve packaging processes, line performance, and product quality.
• Support R&D and NPD activities, including trials, prototyping, and evaluation of new packaging formats or machinery.
• Assist with the integration, setup, and optimisation of packaging machinery and automation technologies.
• Lead engineering investigations, identify root causes, and deliver corrective and preventive actions.
• Provide technical support for customer projects, including blue-chip FMCG clients and leading retailers.
• Prepare engineering documentation: test reports, line set-up specifications, risk assessments, and technical drawings.
