Job summary

Yolk Recruitment Ltd are supporting a global manufacturing organisation with the recruitment of a Maintenance Engineer for their Crumlin site, working a 3-shift pattern. This is a rare opportunity to join an established team, playing a key role in maintaining plant reliability, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring safe and efficient operations across the site.

As a Maintenance Engineer, you’ll provide a full engineering service to production operations and site facilities,

Qualifications

• Completed an Electrical or Mechatronic Apprenticeship.
• HNC/HND in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years' engineering maintenance experience within manufacturing.
• Strong electrical fault finding skills with good mechanical understanding.
• Experience carrying out reactive, preventative and predictive maintenance.
• Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of maintenance activities whilst lone working.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across engineering and production functions.
• Experience using CMMS systems, ideally SAP.
• 18th Edition qualification would be advantageous.
• High Voltage Switching certification would be advantageous but is not essential.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across manufacturing and site equipment.
• Responding to breakdowns and carrying out fault finding on electrical and mechanical systems.
• Diagnosing faults quickly and effectively to minimise downtime and maintain production performance.
• Supporting the installation of new equipment and modifications to existing machinery.
• Assisting with maintenance planning activities and updating maintenance schedules through SAP CMMS.
• Driving improvements in plant efficiency, reliability and productivity.
• Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with company Health, Safety and Environmental standards.
• Communicating effectively with production and engineering teams regarding maintenance issues and plant performance.
• Maintaining accurate maintenance records and documentation.
• Working independently whilst also contributing to wider engineering improvement projects.

This is a rare opportunity which was previously recruited for 5 years ago, they are looking for an experienced multi-skilled engineer to join, playing a key role in maintaining plant reliability, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring safe and efficient operations across the site.

This is what you'll be doing

As a Maintenance Engineer, you'll provide a full engineering service to production operations and site facilities, carrying out reactive, preventative and predictive maintenance activities across both electrical and mechanical systems. Working predominantly on a lone-working basis during your shift, you will be responsible for:

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across manufacturing and site equipment
• Responding to breakdowns and carrying out fault finding on electrical and mechanical systems
• Diagnosing faults quickly and effectively to minimise downtime and maintain production performance

The experience you'll bring to the team

We're looking for an electrically biased engineer with strong fault-finding capabilities and experience within a manufacturing environment.

• Completed an Electrical or Mechatronic Apprenticeship

• Minimum 5 years' engineering maintenance experience within manufacturing
• Strong electrical fault finding skills with good mechanical understanding
