Job summary

ETS Consulting Ltd is seeking a Maintenance Engineer in Bilston offering around £45,000 plus pension, overtime and bonus. The role is Monday to Friday, 39 hours per week (08:00–16:30 Mon-Thu, 08:00–15:30 Fri).

The successful candidate will have an electrical engineering background, time-served status, and experience with automated machinery, overhead cranes, hydraulics/pneumatics, and TPM/PPM systems. There is potential for progression into supervisory roles in the future.

Qualifications

• Electrical engineering background required with time-served status.
• Experience with automated machinery and overhead cranes is desirable.
• Familiarity with TPM/PPM maintenance and improving machine efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Maintain day-to-day electrical maintenance and repair across automated systems.
• Ensure work is carried out to high standards and maximise machine efficiency.
• Work with overhead cranes, compressors, hydraulics/pneumatics and related equipment.

My client is one of the UK's leading and well-established metals processors, supplying a wide range of industries, with a global market presence, the group has gone from strength to strength over the last decade to become centre of excellence within the industry they specialise in. Due to further investment within the Bilston site; they need to recruit an additional electrical engineer.

The Role

The ideal candidate will come from an electrical engineering background and should be able to work on their own initiative, be a time served engineer, but have some multi-skilling and have PPM and TPM manufacturing experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of day-to-day engineering and maintenance activities ensuring work is carried out to the highest standards and maximising machine efficiencies. You will have worked on automated machinery and be familiar with overhead cranes, compressors, hydraulics/pneumatics. There is a huge amount of development on offer, so the successful candidate will be in line to broaden their skills considerably, with the possibility of taking on a supervisory role in the future.
