Job summary

Inform3 Recruitment seeks a Maintenance Engineer for a County Antrim manufacturing site. You will maintain and repair production equipment, ensuring safety and SOP compliance within a food environment.

The role offers a 2-cycle shift pattern, with 3-4+ years experience in manufacturing, and expertise in PLCs, HMI, hydraulics and pneumatics. Strong communication and teamwork are essential, with overtime when required.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in engineering with strong mechanical/electrical maintenance experience.
• Experience with PLCs, HMIs and electronic circuits.
• Maintenance experience in a production/manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs on production equipment in line with SOPs.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance.
• Respond to and resolve faults promptly to minimise downtime.
• Log defects and ensure safe, clean work environment.
• Coordinate with Maintenance Manager and other departments.
• Support Health & Safety compliance.

About the Company:

Are you an experienced Maintenance Technician that has experience carrying out Mechanical & Electrical issues? A client manufacturing company based in County Antrim are currently on the lookout for a motivated and hard-working individual to join their maintenance team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a successful manufacturing company that specialises within food environment and are widely recognised for their business throughout the Northern Ireland.

Description:

You will report to the Maintenance Manager and work with the department managers across the whole site in relations to Maintenance, Quality and Health & Safety. The role will include a 2-cycle shift pattern rotating on a weekly basis.

Duties Include:

• Responsible for preforming maintenance and repairs on company equipment and compliance to SOPs and Safe Working Practices.


• Resolving any issues and reporting any defects or concerns which could potentially cause future problems.


• Carry out planned preventative maintenance.


• Undertake basic electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic repairs of all faulty production’s equipment.


• Respond to and carry out reactive maintenance tasks in an efficient and effective manner, minimising the disruption to the business.


• Ensure any defects or issues are logged.


• Ensure you maintain a clean and safe environment which is compliant with relevant legislation and internal policies and procedures.


• Carry out any other Maintenance duties that is required and confirmed with the Maintenance Supervisor.

Skills & Experience Required:

• Degree or equivalent in Engineering with strong experience in Mechanical/Electrical.


• 3-4+ years’ experience working within a Production/Manufacturing environment.


• Knowledge and understanding of PLC’S, HMI, electronic circuits etc.


• Experience with Hydraulics & Pneumatics.


• Excellent Communication Skills.


• Excellent problem-solving skills.


• Ability to work within a team environment.


• Flexible to working certain shift patterns and overtime when required.
